Migration guide

Migrate from Flatfile to AdaptivMapr — healthcare-aware data import.

Flatfile is a mature, well-built generic importer with a strong ecosystem and a polished embed. We are not pretending otherwise. AdaptivMapr's wedge is narrower and sharper: healthcare-aware templates, multilingual matching, and a BAA posture that comes from bundling with PHI Gateway rather than negotiating a vendor-specific one.

If your import path touches PHI, FHIR, or multilingual clinical data, the trade is worth running. If it does not, stay on Flatfile.

When to switch

  • You are routing PHI through Flatfile under a BAA and would rather inherit one through PHI Gateway than negotiate it vendor-by-vendor.
  • Your customer base lives in DE / FR / IT / EN / ES and you are tired of curating per-tenant synonym lists.
  • You need FHIR resource emit from imports and do not want to hand-build the mapping for ten healthcare resources.
  • You want a free schema-only tier with no DPA to put in front of every prospect, with a clean upsell into full-data when it matters.

When not to switch: if you need Flatfile's mature embed theming, its ecosystem integrations, or its non-healthcare template library, AdaptivMapr will not match those today. Be honest about which axis matters for your buyer.

Send us your current Flatfile schema and we will mirror it against the equivalent healthcare templates so you can see the diff before committing.
